    Please Come Home For Christmas

Bells will be ringing this sad. sad news

Oh what a Christmas to have the blues

My baby's gone I have no friends

To wish me greetings once again

Choirs will be singing "Silent Night"

    Christmas carols by candlelight

    Please come home for Christmas

    Please come home for Christmas

If not for Christmas by New Year's night

    Friends and relations send salutations

Sure as the stars shine above

But this is Christmas yes Christmas my dear

The time of year to be with the ones you love

So won't you tell me you'll never more roam

Christmas and New Year's will find you home

There'll be no more sorry, no grief and pain

And I'll be happy, happy once again

Oh there'll be no more sorrow, no grief and pain

And I'll be happy, Christmas once again

My holiday release this year is a rocking blues version of the holiday classic Please Come Home For Christmas. Originally recorded in the 60's by one of its co-writers Charles Brown, this song has been covered by many artists, from the Eagles classic version to Bon Jovi to Cee Lo Green. I always thought it was a great song but the more we worked on it the more I came to love it. Produced Jeffery Marshall/Red Rover Records who also provided all the guitars, the track includes Lao Tizer on piano and organ, Kevin Chown on bass and Andrew Megna on drums. I hope you'll put a little rocking blues in your stocking this year with Please Come Home For Christmas! - dh
